My memories of the neighborhood during the
teen years included a friend who had a primer gray painted
1955 Chevrolet. It was the focal point for us, the car lovers.
We tinkered and cruised in it. It was extremely fast and today
holds a special place in my heart. I recently saw a fifty-five
and had to paint it. The watercolor painting was done more
for my benefit than the market. The painting has been exhibited
at a number of concours and a number of people have offered
their comments on days gone by and their 55 Chevy.
