| 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air
This premier performance Chevrolet eventually
entered the pages of history as one of the world's most popular
production automobiles. The scene portrays the Chevy convertible
in its natural environment - sun, sand and the beach.
The 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is perhaps Americas
most sought after classic, collector car. It certainly did not
start out that way during production but time has changed all
that. This was also the year that Chevrolet became a serious
performance entry with its new 283 cubic inch V-8 engine that
produced one horsepower per cubic inch.
The middle 50's Chevys eventually became very
popular but the '57 was premier. A convertible on the beach,
could anyone imagine more? These were the carefree, fun in the
sun days. I could think of no better model year for collector
car art. My automotive art repertoire would not have been complete
without the fabulous '57. |
