1964 AC Cobra 289 and
1966 Shelby Cobra SC
Each print is personally signed by Carroll Shelby. These automobiles
are the legends of the sports car world.
The Ford Cobra is perhaps the most copied car
in history. My memories as a teen of the first street Cobra
that I saw, was a girl that had a medium blue cobra that drag
raced everyone who had a hot car. It was a neat looking car
and I was envious of the owner. "The Legend" of course
refers to the builder, Carroll Shelby. The builder and automobile
have since entered the pages of history. The Cobra is also a
very popular subject of Automotive Art. This is an opaque watercolor
painting (gouache) and was a commission. The Cobra SC was a
limited production car consisting of only 31 units. The limited
edition prints feature Carroll Shelby's signature and the serial
numbers of both cars. This image is one of the most popular
of my automobile are portfolio.
