1987 Porsche 911 Turbo
An impressive showpiece of screaming-fast performance.
Porsche is perhaps the most widely recognized
sports car name. The 911 designation goes back to the 60's,
and the basic shape of the car has stayed relatively unchanged.
I have always liked the aggressive rear quarter panels and fenders
of the 911 models of the 80's and early 90's.
This painting showcases the awesome, and powerful
1987, 911 Twin Turbo. The surfaces were a challenge with respect
to the reflections, which define shape. Each automobile painting
offers its own unique challenges and each new painting is an
experiment. The original art is opaque watercolor (gouache)
and the automobile is accurate to detail. My automotive art
is well researched and I try to learn as much as possible about
each vehicle. Knowing the personality and history is an essential
part of successfully portraying any automobile. |
